All you need:

Puff pastry squares - I use the brand Mazor's

(You can also just use a sheet of puff pastry and cut it into squares)

Your favorite tomato sauce- I used the Zesty Marinara from Tuscanini

Eggs

1 beaten egg with a splash of water to make egg wash

Sesame seeds

Black pepper

Salt

This recipe is so easy!

Take a square of puff pastry and brush the edges with some egg wash and then sprinkle the sesame seeds on top. In the center of the puff pastry add about two tablespoons of sauce. Take your spoon and make a little well in the sauce and crack your egg into it. Season your egg with some salt.

Bake in a 375 degree oven for about 15-20 minutes. You want the yolk to be runny. Finish off the puff pastry shakshuka with some black pepper on top and enjoy!

This is a really great recipe. Its so easy and really delicious. You can customize each one by adding different toppings such as veggies or cheese. You can also swap the sesame seeds out for everything bagel spice or za'atar.
